Father Michael Kelley

Michael Kelley was ordained in 1975, and began serving in the urban ministry of Washington, DC. In 1992 he became pastor of St. Martin's and continues St. Martin's rich history of community outreach and social justice.

He is a founding member of the North Capitol and Rhode Island Avenue Ecumenical Council, and an active member of WIN (Washington Interfaith Network). He helps us partner with St. Raphael Catholic Church in Rockville, the local seminary students and Georgetown University Medical School.

Fr. Kelley continues to partner with Catholic Charities, the local community groups and the DC Government to build and manage the new St. Martin's Apartments, affordable workforce housing for working individuals and families.

Deacon Bobby White

Deacon Bobby White is a native Washingtonian, a father of five and grandfather to five. As a permanent deacon he preaches and assists with liturgical celebrations. Deacon Bobby also prepares couples for the sacrament of marriage and presides at their weddings.

Maxine LeGall

Maxine LeGall is a Pastoral Associate at St. Martin's. She directs the religious education programs for our youth, (pre-K through 7th grades). She is responsible for the training of our eucharistic ministers, altar servers, lectors and children's liturgy of the word. Dennis Drewery is the custodian that maintains our facilities. He ensures that the appearances of all three parish buildings are clean, neat and orderly.

Parish Council

Parish Council Mission Statement

Misson Statement - The Parish Council is a consultative body to the Pastor to lead and guide the parish. They assist the pastor in finding the necessary resources to fulfill the needs of the parish and the community. Eligibility - Any fully initiated and practicing Catholic over the age of 14, who is officially registered in the parish and who participate regularly in the community life of the parish shall be eligible to become a member of the council.

Derek Gaither is the Music Director for our Traditional Choir that performs at the 9AM Sunday Mass. He selects the music and accompanies the choir on the pipe organ. He directs this choir at Masses, concerts and special services.

Nova Tate is the Music Director for the music ensemble "Favour" and our children's choir. They perform at concerts, special events, and the 12:00 Noon gospel mass.
